Biography
Adedapo Sodipo is the Founder and CEO of Syarpa, the Lagos-based fintech building a secure, seamless bridge between fiat and crypto payments across Africa and Europe. Under his leadership, Syarpa has grown from an idea born of frustration into a dynamic cross-border payments platform trusted by thousands of users and powering over $4M in transactions to date.
Since founding Syarpa in 2021, Adedapo has led the company through rapid iteration—from crypto-fiat transfers and wallet integration to its upcoming suite of digital wealth tools including Bloom, Saturn, Rebble, and Scorepal. He raised $500K in pre-seed funding to back the vision and has built a lean, high-performing team of crypto, compliance, and finance professionals shaping the next generation of African fintech.
Prior to Syarpa, Adedapo led digital transformation and payments innovation projects for global institutions including Barclays, HSBC, Publicis Sapient, and Pay.UK. He combines deep regulatory insight with frontier technology experience in blockchain, AI, and financial systems—giving Syarpa a rare advantage at the intersection of compliance, speed, and user trust.
A trained economist with a Master’s in Economics of Money, Banking and Finance from the University of Sheffield, Adedapo’s leadership is grounded in systems thinking and entrepreneurial urgency. Beyond technology, he is passionate about inclusion—designing financial tools that unlock access for everyday users and businesses in Africa’s fast-growing digital economy.
