Segun Adeyemi is one of Africa’s most influential fintech builders — shaping how modern companies launch banking products and financial services across emerging markets. As Co-Founder and CEO of Anchor, a Y Combinator-backed embedded finance platform, he’s helping over 400 businesses simplify compliance, scale APIs, and access the infrastructure they need to build and grow.
A two-time fintech founder, Segun previously co-founded Amplify, where he pioneered recurring payments and social keyboard banking before its acquisition by OneFi (Carbon). He later served as Country Manager at JUMO, expanding financial inclusion products through partnerships with telcos and mobile money operators.
With a background in economics and investment banking, Segun brings unmatched clarity to fintech ecosystems. He is best known for publishing the Nigeria Fintech Map, now in its 6th year — a widely cited snapshot of innovation and sector momentum.
