What the public can establish about your company, read as a stranger would

A Public Reading examines what anyone can find — your site, your documentation, your filings, your coverage — and reports what a careful outsider could establish, what they could not, and where the record contradicts itself. Delivered privately to a work address at the company.

Coverage amplifies whatever the record already says. Where the record is thin, stale or contradictory, coverage produces confusion, not credibility. The reading comes before the campaign.

What arrivesDated the day it was read

    1. 01The standing: one of four words, then three sentences in a stranger's voice.
    2. 02What a stranger can establish, each finding with its source and the date it was read.
    3. 03What a stranger cannot establish, with who it matters to and who inside the company closes it.
    4. 04Where the record disagrees with itself, both sides quoted.
    5. 05Recency, the coverage on file, and the order of work.

    What a stranger checks

    13 surfaces
    1. Counts as present when A name carrying Ltd, Limited, Inc or PLC appears in the footer, the terms or the about page.

    2. Counts as present when The homepage has a description and a first heading.

    3. Counts as present when A page names at least two people with roles.

    4. Counts as present when A licence or regulator is named on the site. Regulated categories only; otherwise it leaves the count.

    5. Counts as present when Public documentation or an API reference resolves.

    6. Counts as present when A status page resolves.

    7. Counts as present when A security or trust page resolves, and terms and privacy are dated within 24 months.

    8. Counts as present when A pricing page resolves, or a sales contact route exists.

    9. Counts as present when A dated post, release note or announcement within 90 days.

    10. Counts as present when A press contact email is findable, and a press page, kit or newsroom resolves.

    11. Counts as present when A careers page resolves with an open role or a stated hiring line.

    12. Counts as present when The LinkedIn headcount band and headquarters agree with what the site itself states. Silence on either side is could-not-check, not a contradiction.

    13. Counts as present when A physical address and a general contact route.

Fetching. Each sheet is a page; the stamp is the decision.

Each is checked by fetching the page, not by asking a model what it remembers. Where we cannot check something we say so rather than counting it against you.

    How it is delivered

    • Private. Sent to a work address at the company being read, and nowhere else. Readings of private companies are never published.
    • Nothing kept when we say no. A request we turn away is not stored — not the domain, not the address.
    • About ten minutes. A job is run, not a page loaded; close the tab and the link arrives by mail.
    • One reading per company per month.
    • Ask us and we delete it.

    What happens after

Some of what a reading finds is not ours to fix. A status page, a security page, a licence disclosure and public documentation belong to your engineers and your counsel, and the reading says so against each one. Where a gap is a newsroom’s job — a press contact, a kit, dated announcements a journalist can cite — Poblysh offers one free. Either way the list is yours to keep, print and forward.

    Questions

    • Who can request a reading?

Anyone with a work email at the company being read. The address has to match the domain exactly: a reading of a company should not be handed to its competitors.

    • Do you publish it?

No. A reading of a private company goes to that company and nowhere else. Only listed companies are read in public.

    • How accurate is it?

Every finding carries the address it came from and the date we read it, so you can check any of it in a minute. Where the record is silent we say a stranger could not establish something, never that your company does not have it.

    • Our email domain is different from our website. What then?

Write to consulting@poblysh.com. We will look at the request and either help by hand or propose a paid service that fits.

    • Can an agency request one for a client?

Not through this page. Write to consulting@poblysh.com.
